Have been reading a book called Working Woman's Art of War, by Chin-Ning Chu. Its based on the Art of War by Sun Tzu, which is one of those classic books that get used by lots of people in lots of fields. Deans used it with his rugby team, executives use it as a training manual and every member of the marine corps in america is expected to read Art of War. This version I am reading has translated the original book using the feminine pronouns and Chin-Ning uses examples from the lives of today's women - so there are examples from executives and from stay at home mothers. So this afternoon I got in touch with my inner warrior and rang a few parents. I hate ringing anyone, and ringing parents can have some interesting consequences I would normally avoid... I will have to read some more tomorrow so the consequences of the phone calls are dealt with properly.
